Masjid Raya Indonesia

We have been paving pathway for purchasing property large enough to accommodate religious-based and sociocultural gatherings for thousands of Indonesian and general WA muslims

Current limitation to immediately pursuing the targeted property therefore drives us to develop long-term plan. Whereas Maddington property is indeed our benchmark project for 2018-2019, alternative locations however have also been considered accordingly by the committee for the future consideration. A decision making process has also been established as mechanism to move forward with the best option in the future

Medium Term Roadmap

Project Maddington

Maddington had been included as one of four IUC potential projects since early January 2018. The property has been seen as highly potential location for serving as a masjid for Indonesian community. The subject property is located in Maddington suburb, approximately 21 kilometres from the Perth CBD. Access into the Perth CBD is via Tonkin Highway, Welshpool Road East, Orrong Road and the Graham Farmer Freeway with an off-peak journey time of approximately 29 minutes.

The property comprises three adjoining allotments with a total area of some six thousands square metres. The building is estimated to be built in the 1980s, as a conventional place of worship licensed building with gross area of some three hundred square metres with a verandah to its northern elevation of sixty square metres. The building is conventional in construction with the main auditorium taking up approximately half the total building area and open parking area for some thirty vehicles.

IUC Committee has ordered a professional valuation, have received a report on the 19th of March 2018, and continue to seek an opportunity to capitalize this opportunity.

Mission Shift

We have been going through formal procedures and accordingly submit purchase proposal to the building owner. The owner and their representative however did not see our offer suitable, on the other hand yet we also did not perceive their demand realistic. Their agent has stated that they will not entertain any offer less than $2MM.

We therefore need to shift our focus on something else until we reach an agreement over the base price for negotiation. We have been reasonably forthright with our process and limitation to the community and donators. We have been offering alternative means toward a consistent goal in building a grand masjid as intended with two options as illustrated below
